As Helen Housby said "It doesn't matter how fit you are or what size you are, Netball is literally for anybody." and we are adding age to that as well.
At Kodiak Stars we are such a mixed club with players of all ages, so we asked a few of our 'older' members a few questions to find out their thoughts about Netball.

When was the last time you played Netball before joining Kodiak?
Emma - 1977!
Liz - 1980 at primary school!
Mandy - a few weeks before, as I played for another club.
Anne - I'd been to a couple of B2N sessions in 2018 but prior to that I hadn't played for 22 years
Sharon - 2015 ish.
What got you back into playing this great sport?
E - I started playing with my daughter Georgia (next to me in the photo) in the garden as she played for a club.
L - My daughter Izzy got me into playing again as well! (now both my daughters play for Kodiak)
M - I've played straight from school, also played indoor Netball and all the way through to now!
A - Saw Sharon's post on Facebook about this new Netball club starting up and i was very bored of Tennis so thought why not!
S - My Daughter (Kelly, the Head Coach!)
What do you love about Netball?
E - Really love being part of a team especially when its going well and getting the ball passed up the court!
L - Being part of a team and the great group of girls and obviously the social side!
M - Meeting new people and the exercise.
A - The team aspect, and getting fitter just by enjoying yourself.
S - Great team sport to play and watch. Everyone here plays as a team and its great that anyone can play there's no age barrier.
If you could only play one position what would it be?
E - Probably WA
L - WA
M - C
A - GK
S - GS
Who's your favorite England Rose?
E - That's a tough one!
L - Helen Housby

And finally, what would you say to anyone thinking about playing again?
E - Give it a go but buy a decent pair of trainers so you don't fall on your face!!
L - Its never too late in life to start..
M - Have a go! You will love it and its great fun.
A - DO IT.... You wont regret it :)
S - Don't hold back, come and give it a go no matter what your age or ability. You'll make new friends enjoy yourself and get fitter!
